What is the TSYF Changemaker challenge?

This category is for solutions centred around advancing and contributing towards key pillars of the SG Green Plan 2030. Teams should include Design Thinking elements in their proposals. Winning teams will receive funding to implement their projects.

Who is the challenge for?

Secondary School Division: All Secondary Schools in Singapore

Junior College and Tertiary Institute Division:
Junior Colleges / Centralised Institutes, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), Polytechnics, Universities, Youths up to 35 years old.

Note that this challenge is only open to secondary school students and above. Primary school students are encouraged to sign up for the Creator Challenge instead.

What are the submission criterias?

What is the expected submission?

The main outcome for solutions in this category would be a project that aims to advance and contribute to the key pillars of SG Green Plan in your school or local community.

Examples of submissions:

  • Social and environmental community initiatives such as waste management projects, sustainable fashion workshops.
  • Innovative sustainable technologies or solutions such as a concept plan for a potential prototype to create a product or service that resolves a sustainability issue.
  • Educational and awareness campaigns that are aimed at increasing understanding and promoting sustainable behaviours through campaigns or educational modules. These projects focus on changing mindsets, building capacity, and encouraging adoption of sustainable practices within schools or communities.
